The ho'usk bacterium is a bacterium that originated from the planet Attis. It is known for it's contamination of water, when water is infected with it it turns red, almost blood-like and becomes poisonous for most carbon-based life forms.

In 19,741 AS a federation ship crashed on the planet saqor in the fruwa lake within 2 weeks the bacterium had completely infec the lake and went on to infect the fruwa-tsir channel after wich it infected the tsir river leading it into the ocean, after 6.79 years it had infected almost all of the water on saqor in 19,750 all carbon live on the planet had died only 4 days later the bacterium went extinct.
